Planning for an uncertain future

This is such a challenging topic for me;

  • My business head says you need goals for the short term, medium term and long term. Where will you be in 2, 5 and 10 years?
  • My spiritual mind says don’t worry about tomorrow. All you have is the present, focus on being all you can be in this moment.

When I try and plan the future it’s a struggle, who knows what could happen politically, economically, socially, what will the trendy’s be in 2-5 years?

When I live in this day and this moment and do all I can NOW I experience incredible results and so much peace.

I have a business plan and strategy for the future, when I’m focused on that plan it feels like such a struggle. There is so much that’s out of my hands. I sell clothing, I don’t know who will purchase from me today or this week. I do all I can do in terms of Marketing etc but there’s still no guarantees. Business is a risk and takes so much faith.

I like to focus on doing the best I can today, which what I have. That’s in my hands, that’s what I can control.

The bigger picture is important. It sets your intention and your Why. It’s your destination. You can check that your GPS for the day is pointing in the right direction, then you get your head down and focus on the roads and mauves in front of you.

Bit by bit it’s a synch.

Slow and steady wins the race.

Enjoy – don’t endure – the journey.

I Am My Ancestors Wildest Dreams

I just saw this quote on a t-shirt.

“I Am My Ancestors Wildest Dreams”

What an incredible thought that my great great grandparents and beyond could have had some wild dream that I’m now living. What could my great grandchildren do or become?

What hit me yesterday is that I need to blog, post and document my journey for my daughters! They can come in the future and read what Mummy did and how I thought, lessons I learnt and lived by. This is their foundation to build on.

Let YOUR light shine

I just let my light shine live on Facebook in an interview with an incredible Marketplace Pastor, who I also have the privilege of calling a Client. Geralda Larkins.

Key take always:

  • Focus on your assignment
  • Listen to your clients, the industry, your life and your God
  • Flow in your uniqueness

I shared Matthew 5:16 KJV

[16] Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
