My brain has too many tabs open

Not just my brain but my Mac too lol. Is it just me? Roll on the weekend 😅

Teachable moment for myself here…

When my laptop and internet browser has too many tabs open (unfortunately this is often), it means there’s too much “I’m planning coming back to”. Sometimes I can’t switch off my laptop for days because I have so much open. My goal is to open my laptop in the morning, do my work and shut down, tabs and all. Otherwise, it leaves me with an un-finished feeling and that there’s always something to come back to.

In the same way, when there’s a lot going on in my brain/life it can feel like too many tabs open. This is when I need to pray, journal and process. Get things into perspective so I can move forward without a cloud. That usually does it for me. If I can’t shift it, I pray without ceasing, I keep lifting the situation to God everytime it comes to mind and after a while, I get an answer, resolution and/or peace about it.

So, too many tabs open? Computer – Address things right away or plan a time to come back another day, but you must be able to shut down. Brain – Pray, journal and make lists

The last 2 years have been an incredible journey

The last 2 years have been an incredible journey. In April 2016 I took House of ilona Clergy to America 🇺🇸 ✈️ for the first time. It was incredible and game-changing. Came back to the UK, moved the business from home into an office, with staff!! 😱🤗😱 First Business trip to China 🇨🇳 for sourcing in October 2016. Featured in Buckingham Palace for an MBE Presentation. The youngest black Priest to be ordained in the UK was the first to wear our first men’s robe and it was featured on Songs of Praise. We’ve now outsourced our Fulfillment (stock storage, picking, packing and shipping). 😅😅😅 Love what I get to do every day Releasing new styles and designs all the time and really enjoying serving my Clients everyday. www.houseofilona.com

Leaders are Readers April 2018

Business can be a lonely road but between my God, my rock @peterdaleymusic, Business coaches and these authors, I’m in great company.

These are just a handful of the books I’ve read and gleaned so much from over the past year. The latest “How to be an overnight success” (it just took her 18 years) by @mrsrodial was a fantastic “read” (#tellthetruthandshamethedevil ok so it was a fantastic “listen” I’m the audiobook Queen!!!!! Lol) The first couple chapters I was like… she’s written my book, this is my testimony… till her product was mentioned by Kylie Jenner and she has soared to all kinda heights. I really enjoyed listening to her journey. I love that her and her husband are still co-owner of the Business and scaled without having to take outside investment. She doesn’t want to sell her business. She wants to run and direct her business and continue to do what she loves. I love that!! All the other books are amazing too. So many gems. #leadersarereaders

That first 3 months went by fast

💨 That first 3 months went by fast. How are the New Years resolutions going? 🤔 Treat this new quarter (April to June) like a new year! A good book I read on productivity is called “The 12 Week Year” I highly recommend it. It breaks 12 months into 12 weeks so treats 12 weeks like a year. It’s a more manageable chunk of time to set to realistic goals and make something happen each and every weeks. The days are brighter, longer and warmer (that last one is a word of faith 👀). Take some time to evaluate, set some goals, create a 12 week plan and go make it happen.
And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Meal prep for the week

I finally get to meal prep for the week but I have to taste everything 😂. I LOVE when I get to Meal Prep🍽, makes life so much easier!! Here’s a pan-fried salmon served on a bed of fluffy, seasoned quinoa (made a pot). Cold lentil salad (it will last a few days then when the garlic gets strong I’ll fry up that bad boy). Plus an avocado 🥑 side salad. So satisfying!!

Big Boobs need these dresses or do they?

Boobs need these dresses or do they?

Boobs need these dresses or do they?

This article suggested 4 types of dresses for bigger boobs. This is an area close to my heart (pun intended). If you want to accentuate your assets then their suggestions are correct, but on the other hand, if like me you want to dress real nice but not have the girls on show here’s what I think…

Personally, I disagree with 3 out of 4!

The Wrap Dress – I don’t enjoy wearing these if you’re heavy up top. I find that throughout the wraps takes on a form of its own and you’ll be tugging and warring, pulling on hoisting. The final straw is when the safety pin comes out and this keeps the neckline in place but changes the natural form of the dress! I don’t want to work that hard!

The Low Cut – Again, great if you want to be on show but I don’t thanks… Next.

The Ruched – Cute and I see where people are going with this idea and up to a certain cup size, yes. After that NO! I just find ruching adds extra thickness to an already heavy area of my body… Next.

The Belted – This works for me. Whether it’s a belt, belted look incorporated into the dress or tapering into the waist with darts, detail or soft pleats. It’s taking the eye away from the assets (that are already very visual) and draws the eye to another place.

The missing dress is a V-Neck! You can wear the depth of the v to a place that’s comfortable and decent for you.

This is my personal opinion but it’s also a different opinion from popular opinion for what to wear for bigger boobs. Wear what works for you 😉
